Getting old (aka my birthday)

It's official, I'm getting old. On the 19th Feb I turned 23. It was a little sad, as for some reason I've always had in my head that I should be 22, so to now be past that means I'm older than I think I should be.

I've got to say my 22nd year would have to have been my best so far. Some of the things I did:

  • Partied with my best mate for my entire 22nd birthday weekend
  • Signed the size partnership I'd been trying to do in AIESEC for YEARS!
  • Went to the Czech Republic (It's as central as eastern Europe gets, but I always wanted to travel there)
  • Got a new nephew
  • Partied with friends at festivals and concerts
  • Finished off an amazing AIESEC career after nearly 5 years
  • Moved to Brisbane 5 and a half years after I first said I would
  • Achieved better at Uni than I'd thought I could
  • Got a great role with a great buch of people at TechOne (and started earning real money!)
  • Started playing golf regularly and for real-real (not for play-play)
  • Went to Borneo for an amazing experience and which presented a huge opportunity
  • Hung out with great friends in Sydney for New Years
  • Chaired my first conference
  • and many, many more. (I say that to stop it going for ever and because I forget things quickly)

So now, in my last year of uni, with choices to be made and hard work to be done, It'll be hard to live up to 22, but hopefully it will or won't be too far off. (and maybe it'll surprise me and rock my world!)

At the moment it's lucky I didnt get him off eBay. I'm starting to find all kinds of things I'd like on there...

Nope, had to order Brett. Wish they were using TechOne's supply chain management - delivery took 9 months! top
